Reikanizen is dead; long live Reikanizen

After many years and many revisions, I’ve come to a somewhat sad realization that my personal manga project is going nowhere. It is with a heavy heart that I finally close the lid on Reikanizen and move forward toward other projects.

Do I have other works in mind? Yes. I plan on taking much of what I’ve learned and discussed over the past few years from this and other projects, applying it to future works. A new series is already in the making. With any luck it will see results in a few weeks. Some character sketches have already been produced.

The new Reikanizen site is going to be closed, and the domain will likely redirect to the home of the new project when it’s ready. I meant to make this announcement and explain what was behind it sooner, but I got caught up in returning to work on Neverendless.

I plan on playing this one a little closer to the vest, however, and not releasing details until there’s anything solid behind them. All I’ll say is that fans of the Reikanizen series won’t be disappointed.

NE Updates

The vote shop pricing system is more-or-less done, I just need to draft it in Notepad++ and do some tests.

With custom items being processed again, I’ve turned my attention to making a set of forms that will generate most of the custom items automatically. Hopefully this brings us closer to Bobby’s vision of donors waking up to items in their mailbox the day after they donate. After timing myself on WoW-V and making estimates on the removal of the automated parts from this time, I think I can increase creation speed by as much as ten times the current rate.

Making it official

I posted a link here on my DeviantArt profile, so I guess now it’s official. This site is here, Internet, and it will not be ignored!

I should set up some system that allows me to save from Photochop directly into one of the folders here, so I can cut out the FTP client middleman. Then maybe I’d have something in the way of regular updates. That would be neat.

Also, I must remember to add tags to posts, lest they become lost. Poor posts!

Introducing the all-new copy of…

Oi, I’ve finally set up a site for myself after years of setting them up for everyone else. Not much to see except for my gallery at the moment. I suppose you’ll live.
